The tour covers an astonishing 3,000 km off-road. Starting just north of the Sudanese border and heading west towards Libya. Visiting Jabel Weinat, the Sugar Mountain, the  Abu Balace pottery, the recently discovered meteorite field, the White Desert, Gilf El Kebir (+ its 7000yr cave drawings). It covers less ground than the longer tours and enables participants to get a more intimate perspective of the areas visited. In the White Desert we hike through the distinctive mushroom formations. We visit the bustling oasis of Farafra and Bahariya where sprawling orchards and date plantations cover the landscape. We stop En route at Cairo and take a sightseeing tour of the city including of course the Great pyramids of Giza.   Day One Arriving in Cairo airport or overland from Eilat and Taba. Visiting The Great Pyramids at Giza and the bazaar of Khan el Khalili. Overnight at 3*  hotel. Day Two Leaving Cairo and driving to the Western Desert Oasis town of Bahariya. Touring the oasis ,plantations and town before departing for the White Desert. Setting up overnight camp Days Three to Five Exploring the  sights and scenery of the White desert. Each day we take a different hiking route, each as rewarding as the next. Touring through these endless expanses and seeing the fabulous night skies, you experience the real magic of the Sahara desert. Day Six Heading into the Western 'White deser',t where the stark white rock meets the Great Sea of Sand. We delve a little into the great sand sea to take in the spectacular views of the endless waves of sand. From here we head to  the oasis town of Farafra. We visit the Bedouin museum and spend the night at a local hotel. Day Seven The tour draws to close and on the scenic route back we have plenty of time to reflect on our journey. The return journey again passes into Cairo here clients are either transferred to hotels / airport, or continue overland to Israel and Jordan.
