An Israel tour that focuses on Israeli Jewish Heritage in Israel. An in-depth tour covering Israel's most significant Jewish sites and revealing the best of Israel's natural beauty.

Day 1:
We begin in Jaffa - one of the ancient gateways to Israel. From there we drive to Caesarea, where we find many of Israel's best examples of Roman architecture. Continuing along the coast to Israel's largest port town - Haifa. Ascending Mount Carmel and continuing on to the oriental city of Akko (Acre), here the Crusaders built their most impressive port. We visit the Citadel, "Templar Knight Halls" and the oriental market. By afternoon we drive to the hills of Galilee and we spend the night at a moshav in a luxury cabin in the scenic hills overlooking looking Lake Tiberias (sea 0f Galilee)

Day 2:
In the morning we ascend to the old city of Tzefat (Safed), the center of Jewish Mysticism, Kabbalah and visit some of its synagogues, all steeped in history. We continue through the Galilee to Rosh Pina and onto the Tel Dan reserve to enjoy it's interesting archeological sites and scenery. We continue on to Northern Golan. We visit the Golan's historic sites and the Syrian border. We end the day in Katsrin and the Talmudic village of Katsrin with its renowned synagogue. Overnight in Galilee.
Day 3:
We leave Galilee for Jerusalem. Today we pay homage to the victims and heroes who tragic fates lead to the rebirth of Israel as a free Jewish State. We begin the tour on the Mt. of Olives. Then we take time to visit Yad Vashem - Israel's Holocaust Memorial and the nearby Mount Herzl. From here we head to Ammunition Hill the scene of the heaviest fighting in the Six Day War that ultimately resulted in the reunification of Jerusalem. We visit the Synagogue in the scenic Ein Karem and the Chagall Windows. We end the day taking in the sunset over Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives.
Day 4:
We explore all the major Jewish sights in the old city of Jerusalem. Covering all four Quarters. We start at King David's tomb on Mt. Zion before entering the Old City via Zion's gate. Walking through the Jewish quarter we visit the remains of a 2, 000 year old home. We visit the Kotel (Western Wall), we also tour the fascinating tunnel system of the Western Wall which is still under excavation. We cross the Temple Mount and see here the Dome of the Rock. We see the Lions gate, the Pools of Bethesda and walk through the Muslim and Christian quarters (via the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Arab Market) towards the Jaffa gate where we visit the Citadel of Jerusalem, The Tower of David. We explore the ruins and visit the museum before returning to Mount Zion via the Armenian quarter.
Day 5:
Today we head south to the desert and the Dead Sea, stopping en route to tour the ruins of the Jewish village of Qumran and its nearby caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. We then visit Ein Gedi and walk to the main waterfall before heading back to our vehicle and onto Masada. This was King Herod's spectacular desert palace. Masada was famously used by Jews as a stronghold against the might of the invading Roman army. The courageous Jews eventually committed mass suicide rather than surrender their freedom. Having explored Masada we head down to the Dead Sea and enjoy its mineral rich healing properties. Overnight at Dead Sea hotel.

 


Day 6:
Heading South along a scenic route to Eilat via the Great Rift Valley. En route we visit a kibbutz to see the desert agricultural systems and hear how members lifestyles have changed in recent years We tour the famous Timna valley, where we find unique desert scenery and ancient archeological remains, including some of the world's earliest copper mines. We take in Timna's highlights and arrive in Eilat by evening. Overnight in Eilat.
Day 7:
An early start sees us crossing the Taba border and heading into the Sinai desert. Here we visit the local Bedouin and enjoy the excellent coral reefs before heading to the high Range area and Mount Sinai. Mount Sinai is traditionally believed to be the mount of the Ten Commandments. We ascend the mountain in time for sunset and witness the breathtaking scenery that spans the whole of the High Range and beyond. Back to Eilat by late evening. We fly back to central Israel from Eilat for tour completion.
